That profile does not show up on a job board

This startup needed engineers who lived at the intersection of blockchain architecture and large-scale media streaming. Not engineers who had read about one and worked on the other. Both, deeply, at the same time. That profile does not show up on a job board.

Dedicated Team

"Finding engineers who understand both blockchain and media streaming at the level this project required is genuinely difficult. Talex found them in two weeks. Beyond the technical fit, the communication standard across the team was the thing that made remote collaboration actually work. We were in different time zones and it never felt like it."

When Expertise Is More Than a Checklist

Blockchain developers are not rare. Media streaming engineers are not rare. Engineers who understand both well enough to build a hybrid architecture where decentralized ownership verification sits seamlessly on top of a centralized streaming platform - that is a different conversation entirely.

This music startup was not building a crypto project with a music skin on top. They were building a genuine marketplace where musicians and fans interact through NFT-based ownership on BSC, Ethereum and Polygon, while the actual audio streams through AWS infrastructure with the smoothness users expect from Spotify. Both halves had to work perfectly, and the seam between them had to be invisible to the end user.

The added layer was geography and communication. Our client operates out of US. The development team would be in Vietnam. For a project this technically nuanced, where requirements evolve as the Web3 landscape itself evolves, a team that cannot communicate precisely and in real time is a project risk that compounds daily.

Precision in Team Composition

Our client did not have months to search for engineers with this specific combination of skills. The Web3 window moves fast, and a marketplace concept that is ahead of the market today can become crowded territory quickly.

Talex's talent pool runs deep precisely because it has been built over two decades of software delivery, not assembled reactively for individual briefs. When the client brief came in, the search was not for engineers who could learn blockchain. It was for engineers who had already shipped on it. The pool had them.

Within two weeks, a vetted team was in front of the client: one Project Manager, two frontend developers, three blockchain and backend engineers with verified experience across Solidity, Ethereum, and Web3 integration, and two QA engineers. Client team interviewed and selected every person themselves.

Because the client had specifically flagged English communication as a hard requirement - not a preference - Talex prioritized communication assessment in the vetting process for this engagement. Every engineer on the team had been tested for English proficiency before the client saw their profile. That is the difference between a team that can take direction and a team that can push back intelligently when the technical direction needs to change.

The architecture the team built used IPFS for decentralized data storage and NFT management, Solidity smart contracts across BSC, Ethereum and Polygon for ownership verification and secure transactions, and AWS with Auto Scaling for the streaming layer. React, Next.js, Node.js and Python on the web side. Web3.js, Ethers.js, QuickNode and crypto wallet integration connecting the blockchain layer to the user experience.

An Invisible Seam Between Blockchain and Streaming

The technical challenge here was real, but the operational challenge was just as significant. A US founder building a Web3 product with a Vietnam-based team across a 12-hour time gap, on a stack that combines two distinct engineering disciplines, is the kind of setup that produces miscommunication, misaligned builds, and expensive rework - unless the team is right.

The emphasis on communication skills in Talex's vetting process is not a nice-to-have. On this engagement it was the difference between a team that could collaborate across time zones and one that would have needed constant correction. The our client got could articulate technical tradeoffs clearly, raise blockers early, and move autonomously between syncs without losing alignment.

The result was a marketplace that had not existed before: NFT-based ownership for musicians, streaming that performs like a consumer product, and a fan engagement model that gives artists a direct economic relationship with their audience. Delivered in 12 months, without the client having to spend the first three of them finding the people who could build it.
